In the first Autonomous Racing League race, the struggle was real (2 minute read)

The Abu Dhabi Autonomous Racing League has held its first race. The driverless Dallara Super Formula racers, outfitted with cameras and software, struggled to complete a full lap during qualifying time trials. Cars randomly juked, spun, and stopped during the trial. During the actual race, the lead racer spun out - and two out of the other three remaining cars stopped, unwilling to pass the spun-out car due to their rules. According to research done by Akamai, fake USPS smishing attacks delivered traffic to fake USPS sites that were on par, or even exceeding, traffic to the legitimate USPS website. Akamai conducted a fairly conservative analysis by deriving a malicious domain list from one smishing text that an employee received. The attacks have been successful, despite many public awareness campaigns to protect users from them.

The expansion of Headspace's mental health services comes with a new brand identity, evolved illustration style, and updated animations that aim to portray a more professional image. The rebrand was developed in-house in collaboration with Italic Studio. Colophon Foundry created a new proprietary typeface and changed the color scheme - orange still leads, but there is now a supporting palette that prioritizes accessibility.
