Who we need: 

Due to product growth, we are searching for a Mobile Developer to join our crew. As our ideal Mobile Developer, you will be comfortable equally comfortable writing code for iOS or Android devices and able to easily step into an agile environment with peer reviews, an in-house design team, and a QA team supporting the projects. You will collaborate with designers, developers, and product managers to reach an optimal outcome. As a Mobile Developer, you should have strong product intuition and a focus on developing highly functional software solutions. 

 

This is a REMOTE position. 

We are based in Atlanta, GA, but we know there are great people all over. If you are local to Atlanta, we have a desk for you any time you would like to come into the office, otherwise we will see you on Teams and Slack.

What you’ll do: 

  • Design enhancements, updates, and programming changes for both Android and iOS. 

  • Partner with a Product Manager to refine the roadmap and deliver value. 

  • Assist the Director of Engineering in building a technical roadmap for our SDKs. 

  • Improve the SDK package delivery experience to customers. 

  • Drive the automated testing effort forward in collaboration with the QA team. 

  • Mentor junior engineers on best practices. 

  • Create documentation as part of development efforts. 

  • Consistently meet development culture guidelines and standards. 

  • Align with company direction using domain knowledge to provide robust scalable solutions. 

  • Take on other tasks and duties as assigned. 

As a Mobile Developer, you have: 

  • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer with the majority being in mobile development. 

  • Strong knowledge of Android (Kotlin) and iOS (Swift) SDKs, different versions, and how to deal with different screen sizes. 

  • Familiarity with connecting mobile applications to APIs. 

  • Strong knowledge of UI design principles, patterns, and best practices. 

  • The ability to hit commitments according to agreed-upon timeframes. 

  • Experience providing clear and detailed communication of potential technical roadblocks. 

  • Experience in working on a team, in a regulated environment with shared code managed in multiple source control repositories. 

  • Must be eligible to work legally in the U.S. without sponsorship. 

We’ll give you extra credit for: 

  • Understanding of DevOps and deployment of Android and iOS applications. 

  • High-level exposure to tools such as App Center and Azure DevOps. 

  • Understanding of devices and memory management in relation to coding decisions. 

  • A high level of comfort with ambiguity and openness to learning whatever it takes to solve new challenges.
