The goal would be for this work to lead to a more senior architectural position within the next year or two, participate in other projects for our company, including core product development, machine learning, and other customer accounts.

The customer is using a dedicated data-center and a self-contained stack, but our company opeates on GCP, so there are additional opportunities to learn and work with BigQuery, VertexAI and other GCP tools.

Ideal Candidate Description

The healthcare industry is complex, and non-profit organizations in that space handle unique challenges. The candidate ideally is a strong team player, eager to learn, and exhibits good empathy to recognize the needs of such environment, including patient issues that benefit from technical solutions (remote monitoring, better patient contact and experience, better overall clinical care and so on).

The technical environment we operate in is broad, with a strong focus on Data Engineering and Software Development tasks from the ground up. You will develop breadth and depth working with us. The candidate must be comfortable learning on the go and wearing multiple hats. One day may be focused on database performance optimization, another day on software development for a new Web tool for clinicians, and another day implementing ETL pipelines. On a daily basis, the candidate will touch all these technologies and write SQL, JavaScript and Java code.

The candidate must be well skilled in SQL across multiple database systems, and have working knowledge in Java and/or JavaScript. Some experience in healthcare is much preferred. Knowledge of the HomeHealth industry a plus. Knowledge of the HomeCare/HomeBase EMR system would be fantastic.

The job is mostly remote and doesn't require an in-office presence regularly, but we do meet in person at least 2-3 days a month. As such, the Candidate must live in the region and be able to get to Central Jersey easily. The lead architect for the project lives in NYC, so the ability to go there and meet for co-working sessions is a plus.

Overall, the CapsicoHealth team strives on collaboration and daily co-working sessions, mostly online, and we meet and communicate with the customer very regularly. As such, you will receive continued guidance and partnerships with the whole team.

We are not at this time able to sponsor anyone, so you must be able to legally work in the US.
