As a Founding Engineer at Remynt, you will work closely with the founder to evolve and innovate our existing web application to convert and retain customers. You will be deeply involved in the business and develop the core architecture to ensure data security and regulatory compliance.  Data is the company's underpinning, so database development and security expertise are crucial as we will handle sensitive customer data. Similarly, familiarity with data science and AI/ML will be key.  You must be multidisciplinary, as you will be joining Remynt at the earliest stage, iterating and improving upon the existing web application and tech stack, creating the mobile application, onboarding our first customers, and so much more.  You will be the first engineering hire and have the chance to build out your dream team. 

You will:

• Design, build, and own large user-facing areas of the product using modern frameworks and tooling (React, Node.js, GraphQL).

• Have the expertise to build any necessary APIs to improve the front and backend functionality.

• Work closely with the founders and early customers to set product and technical direction for the company.

• Lead the coordination and relationship between marketing and the technical infrastructure to maximize customer conversion. 

• Play a lead role in defining Remynt’s engineering culture as we grow.

• You will lead the integration of the credit card product into the application. 

• You will work on our payments infrastructure which includes setting up custom reoccurring payments for peer-to-peer payments.  

• Execute the experience in continuous integration, continuous deployment (CI/CD), and test cases. 

• Create the road map for ML/Al planning based on our data sets. 

• Manage the data infrastructure and compliance.

Minimum requirements: 

• 4+ years of experience building modern web applications in high-growth technology companies.

• Productive, resourceful, and effective at problem-solving.

• Self-directed and organized. 

• Ability to balance effective execution with a high bar for engineering excellence.

• Experience working with data products.
